MANNA: removes food stagnation and pain (warms and stimulates), gentle laxative

RHUBARB ROOTS: cools the blood, astringent, purgative, anthelmintic, alterative, detoxifying

SENNA LEAVES: laxative, (leaves stronger than pod), inhibits re-absorption into the intestines

ZEDVOARY ROOTS: relieves pain, warms digestion, circulatory stimulant, reduces flatulence and colic

CAMPHOR: for stomach-ache, abdominal pain, respiratory stimulant, antiparasitic, analgesic, calms the nerves

MYRRH: gastric anti-inflammatory, reduces ulceration of mouth and stomach, anthelmintic

CARLINE THISTLE ROOTS: liver tonic, circulatory stimulant, alterative, hemostatic

SAFFRON: anti-inflammatory, circulatory stimulant, tonic, anti-spasmodic, rejuvenative.

THERIAC VENEZIAN: BLACKSNAKE ROOT: antispasmodic, alterative, diaphoretic, raises Chi of stomach

CINNAMON BARK: carminative, analgesic, astringent, raises Chi of body, warms and stimulates

MALABAR CARDOMOM: strengthens stomach function, carminative, tonic, expectorant, warming and phlegm remover

VALERIAN ROOT: mild sedative and antispasmodic, relieves pain, cramp, spasms, hypnotic

 

WARNINGS

Herbs that act as laxatives and purgatives if used excessively, incorrectly or longterm, may cause an imbalance in stomach electrolytes, leading to a potassium deficiency. Do not take if you have an intestinal blockage or serious condition. If on medication or if any doubt, always check with your healthcare professional before taking; some drugs and herbs may interact. These herbs should be avoided during pregnancy and if on prescription diuretics.
